An Act Creating The Knik River Public Use Area Legislation (HB 307) was signed into law by Governor Murkowski on June 30, 2006 The 18-month State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources planning process to create a management plan for the Knik River Public Use brought forth the Knik River Public Use Area Management Plan.
